    Physical Therapist

Dianne has been working with children for 20+ years. She is currently semi retired.  She has enjoyed a career working with kids in both early intervention, and school programs.

Dianne graduated from UBC Physical Therapy program, and has worked in a variety of areas of physical therapy before becoming a paediatric physical therapist.  An enjoyment of helping children improve their physical skills, and confidence, has made paediatrics a very rewarding work environment for Dianne.  She also enjoys working with families, and children in diverse environments.

Dianne moved to the Comox Valley 10.5 years ago from Surrey. She enjoys the outdoor lifestyle that includes gardening, walking and hiking with her dog, Kimbo, as well as biking, and kayaking.   In Surrey, she worked for The Centre for Child Development, and provided therapy to kids in the Delta School District, early intervention, casting, and splinting team and the equipment team during her time there.  Dianne also, worked overseas, in Kuwait for 2.5 years, helping foreign trained therapists and families whose children had special needs.

Her focus of treatment includes hands on (such as myofascial release/cranial sacral therapy), sensory processing, core strengthening, and functional activities.  Therapy includes a balance of challenging kids in a fun way.  Parents are provided with activities they can continue with their child.

Recently, Dianne has completed course in listening therapy, core strengthening, and integration of primitive reflexes.
